Worn, cracked, or missing bumper grommets let a fire extinguisher shift and rattle in its bracket. Over time that wears the cylinder finish and loosens the mount. This heavy-duty rubber bumper grommet replaces the original bumper in Amerex and Amerex-style band brackets. It restores a snug, cushioned fit in minutes.

Features

  • 15/16" diameter rubber bumper head cushions the extinguisher cylinder.
  • Pull-through design installs in the bracket's existing 1/4" hole. The barbed collar locks it in place.
  • Heavy-duty rubber absorbs vibration on trucks, equipment, forklifts, and boats.
  • Protects the cylinder from metal-on-metal contact and paint wear.
  • Inexpensive way to refurbish a bracket instead of replacing it.
  • Replaces Amerex part 01990-P.
  • Easy install: push the stem through the 1/4" hole, pull it through with pliers until the barbed collar pops through, then trim the excess stem.
