The #40 quad ring is a replacement for Ansul part 16222. Quad rings use a four-lobed profile that seals on both sides, reducing twisting compared with a standard round O-ring.
Replace this O-ring any time the valve is removed from the cylinder, including during recharge, hydrostatic testing and six-year maintenance. Lightly lubricate the O-ring before installing to help it seat and seal properly.
